Classic vehicle restoration is the process of refurbishing a classic car and returning it to its "original" condition without updating or upgrading. Therefore keeping the vehicle in line with how it would have appeared when was first offered for sale.
What is a full restoration?
A complete restoration includes total removal of the body, engine, drive train components and associated parts from the car. Dis-assembly involves cleaning and repairing of each of the major parts and components, replacing broken or damaged items then complete re-assembling and testing.
All painted parts are stripped of old paint and rust then carefully inspected, repaired where necessary and a holding primer applied. Final painting in colours to match the factory original are applied in a temperature controlled environment. Chrome components often require stripping, repair and then re-chroming.
The general interior of the car is inspected and repaired replacing damaged items as required.
