NFCC Complete Stage 1 of The E-Type Club Coastal Drive

Jaguar author Philip Porter, who has recently recovered from prostate cancer, had originally set out to travel around the coast of Britain solo in order to raise awareness of prostate cancer. He expected that maybe a handful of people he knew may wish to join him at various stages throughout his route, but has been completely overwhelmed by the support and level of interest he and this event have received.

The 18 stage coastal drive began on Monday 12th September where around 50 E-type's were flagged away at Goodwood by Derek Bell MBE. What can only be described as an army of E-type's, they made their way along the South Coast, passing through the New Forest where spectators could only watch on in awe of these beautiful cars. The first stage came to an end when the E-type's reached their finishing point for the day in Lyme Regis.

Philip Porter will be driving his iconic 'Italian Job' E-type for the duration of the Round Britain Coastal Drive, auctioning off his passenger seat for each stage. All proceeds go to the very worthy cause - Prostate Cancer UK and seats are still available.

This fantastic event has certainly raised awareness for Prostate Cancer UK! We can't wait to join in again on Thursday 29th September for the final stage from Folkestone back to Goodwood. We hope to see you there!
