The E-type Club Round Britain Coastal Drive

NEW FOREST CLASSIC CARS will be participating in the E-type Club ROUND BRITAIN COASTAL DRIVE, supporting Prostate Cancer UK.

This event, which is the brainchild of Jaguar author Philip Porter, who has recently recovered from prostate cancer, starts on September 12 and lasts until September 29, but you can choose any number of daily stages from 1 to 18. Average daily mileage is 180 with full back-up.

We will be taking part in the first and final stages of this drive, as follows: -
Monday 12th September: Goodwood Racecourse, Chichester to Lyme Regis Golf Club
Thursday 29th September: Port Lympne Hotel to Goodwood Racecourse, Chichester

This unique event will be a fantastic way to use your E-type to see the stunning coastal scenery while enjoying your car.

Philip's mission is not only to raise funds but, just as importantly, awareness of this disease which kills a man every hour in the UK. Groups of E-types driving round Great Britain will attract media and public attention, and so raise awareness. It is a way we can use our cars to help men everywhere while having some fun.

Lord March has offered Goodwood for the start and finish. Five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell will be flagging away the cars up the famous hill-climb. This unique event will finish with a lap of the Goodwood circuit. Over 150 stages are already booked, with people coming from the USA and around Europe, but many more E-types are still needed, including yours!

A number of high profile personalities are coming on board. More and more great en route venues are being offered for lunches and for evening receptions/dinners.

We are right behind Philip and the E-type Club in supporting this event.
